BlokID secures $1.25M to shield digital ads with privacy tech

BlokID, a Vietnamese startup pioneering privacy protection in digital advertising, has secured US$1.25 million in seed funding from Ascend Vietnam Ventures and AppWorks. This investment will fuel BlokID's product development, user acquisition, and market expansion, culminating in its official launch by Q2 2024.


BlokID leverages blockchain technology to establish an independent and tamper-proof record of truth in the digital advertising realm. Its user-centric solutions include:


  • Google Analytics plug-ins: Granting users enhanced control and transparency over their data.

  • Financial Identity features: Safeguarding sensitive financial information.


Founded in July 2023, BlokID addresses three critical challenges:


  1. Ad Attribution: Verifying ad campaign effectiveness and identifying discrepancies in reported data.

  2. Privacy Insurance: Utilizing blockchain timestamps to instantly notify users of any unauthorized access to their information.

  3. GA4 Transparency: Democratizing access to event-level data within Google Analytics.

Recent high-profile data breaches and lawsuits have underscored the severity of privacy violations and their hefty consequences. Brands are allocating significant resources to brand safety measures to protect their reputation and maintain user loyalty.
