After 1 year of doing business on Amazon, Abera has just announced that they have reached 1 million USD in revenue, brand reputation increased from 92% to 95%, and profit margin reached 30%.

“The new generation of GenZ customers are reshaping Vietnamese brands on the Internet . Therefore , in the near future, Made in Vietnam products, in my opinion, will conquer the entire world ," said Mr. Dong Thanh Son - CoFounder Abera - at the Vietnam Brand Scale Up Forum.

Abera is a domestic cosmetic brand launched in 2022, built by two Abera founders Dong Thanh Son and Hoang Quoc Vinh with the DTC E-Commerce business model, which means doing business on e-commerce, distributing products directly to consumers. After 1 year of doing business on Amazon, Abera has just announced that they have reached 1 million USD in revenue, brand reputation increased from 92% to 95%, profit margin reached 30%, and order conversion rate increased twofold. 5-6 times more than before.

In fact, the number of Vietnamese small and medium enterprises exceeding the revenue mark of 1 million USD selling goods to international markets on Amazon is not rare. And the e-commerce channel like Amazon has become the basis for a series of Made in Vietnam products to reach the world.

At the Vietnam Brand Scale Up forum, many experts agreed that now is the golden time to bring Vietnamese brands to the world. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngoc, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, said that in the context of today's globalized and deeply integrated economy, many startups are highly competitive because of their products. domestically and internationally, so they increasingly assert their reputation and it is also an opportunity to develop their brand in the international market.

Mr. Randolph Ng - General Director of New Customers for Asia, Australia and India, Google Asia Pacific - also emphasized that it is a golden time to "export" Vietnamese brands because the global market is facing difficulties, many businesses cut production and even withdrew from the market because they could not maintain business.

“The Vietnamese market is in a very good position to seize export opportunities , and it is also a golden time to build a long-term export strategy. When, cross-border trade grows at least 15% per year in the coming years ,” Mr. Randolph Ng said. Some outstanding industry groups include apparel, fashion, accessories, furniture, household appliances, cosmetics, health care...

However, to develop a strong and sustainable brand, businesses must sell multi-channel, such as doing business on Amazon to reach foreign wholesale and retail customers, or link with international distributors. In addition, the logistics system and customer service need to be focused because they are factors for success in enhancing the brand.

Vietnamese brands can reach international markets by selling through e-commerce platforms, strengthening digital marketing, and developing a strong logistics and customer service system. Brands that focus on sustainability and innovation will have a better chance of attracting consumers.
